6:30 PM Zoom help and informal chat; 7 PM Fly NM Chat program starts.
Meet NMPA members statewide via this informal monthly online chat session on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Our topic for December will be "Abandoned and Little Known Airfields of NM".
“Jaws of Death Canyon, the Caldron of Hell and the Aerial Playground”

This month I will expand on January’s Obscure and Scenic New Mexico column to cover an amazing aerial playground west of NM 6 in Central New Mexico. Featured will be Jaws of Death Canyon, the Caldron of Hell, mysterious mound springs, the canyon of the Rio San Jose. I will kick off the meeting with a short presentation of these scenic wonders. If you have explored this area or have your own special aerial playground near your home base, please bring your stories and photos. You can share pictures in the chat, or if you don’t want to deal with putting them on Zoom, email them to me at zoomchat@nmpilots.org and I’ll take care of it for you.

Please join us on January 13th for our next NMPA – Fly New Mexico – Zoom Chat. The meeting will start at 6:30 for Zoom help and an informal chat, with the program starting at 7pm. We will be sending out an email to our members about week before the chat with instructions and a link to the meeting. Since only our membership will have the link, our Zoom meeting will be more secure and shielded from spam. You might find it easier to run Zoom from a laptop, tablet or phone because the camera and microphone set up and ready to go. -- Jeff Gilkey
