The NMPA Mountain Flying Seminar is a condensed version of the eight hour, online ground school that will be offered later this fall. The seminar will be on Friday, April 33, 2021, and will briefly cover tools necessary to understand and plan for the unique and rewarding challenges of mountain flying. WINGS credits will be offered for those who register and attend this seminar. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 clinic will be online only and not include the optional cross-country flights.
Fly in or drive in and join us in a spring work party.
Location TBD, but likely Me-Own. If Me-Own not possible, then Timberon will be the location.
Come and join our fellow pilots at Timberon, and help install a cable barrier to keep vehicles from encroaching on the runway.

The NMPA Mountain Flying Clinic consists of an eight hour online ground school on Friday, covering the tools necessary to understand and plan for the unique and rewarding challenges of mountain flying. The curriculum includes mountain flight planning, aircraft performance, mountain weather, aeromedical factors, risk management & survival, mountain communications, and mountain flight maneuvers. For more details of past clinics, click on the "Mountain Flying" tab on the NMPA Home page.
This announcement mainly serves as a calendar place holder for the date of the clinic. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and possible state-imposed restrictions on public gathering, it is unknown whether the Fall Clinic will be online only, or a combination of online and in-person instruction, and whether the option flight instruction portion of the clinic will be allowed.
