Save the dates! Plans are in the works for 2 separate work parties next year.
April 17-19, 2020 Me-Own Airstrip(1NM0)
Clearing of small trees from runway periphery and other possible tasking.
May 1-3, 2020 Negrito(0NM7) and Rainy Mesa(TBD) Airstrips
Negrito- Pour a concrete stoop for vault toilet, place a new windsock pole at runway intersection, install steel gates to replace wire gates.
Rainy Mesa- Mark out 5400' X 40' runway from existing dimensions. Clear small trees on runway surface and grind stumps, place a new windsock pole.
This combined work party will base at Negrito(fly or drive) and shuttle Rainy Mesa crew back and forth.
These are Tentative dates, subject to final approval by the respective District Rangers, however each has agreed to the locations.
