Coming to the Lordsburg Fly-in during the weekend of March 12-13? Take the short jaunt 31nm southwest to the Amigos Del Cielo Airport located just for miles north of Rodeo, NM to participate in the NMPA STOL Clinic!
Being current and proficient in STOL techniques is an important skill for backcountry and mountain flying and good to know even when we fly in and out of much larger airport. Come relearn and practice your STOL technique with flight instructors at the unique Amigos Del Cielo Airport. Amigos has a 6000 x 40ft dirt runway and is ~4100ft MSL. FORMAT: The clinic begins with check-in breakfast burritos and coffee at 8:30am, followed by ground school instruction/discussion and pattern work with a flight instructor. The clinic should be completed before noontime to allow time to get back for the lunch at the Lordsburg Fly In.
Attendance will be limited for safety in the pattern, so please sign up early. WINGS credit will be given to pilots who participate in that FAA program.
