Our annual fly-in to Reserve Airport (T16) in the Gila National Forest is scheduled, including fly-outs to Gila area airstrips and an Airport Open House on Saturday. Pilots are expected to read the available safety briefings (links below) for any backcountry airstrips they visit.

Registration is OPEN! with a $65 per person fee, kids 12 and under free. Includes Friday dinner cookout and catered dinner provided Saturday, plus breakfast provided both Saturday and Sunday mornings. REGISTRATION CLOSES at 12pm on SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 for NMPA planning purposes.

Tent camping is allowed on the field. Water and electric on site. It is expected that the county will have the airport terminal building operational with toilets but otherwise, the county provides porta-potties.

Ground transportation provided into the town of Reserve and to motels at Hidden Springs or in Reserve with volunteer drivers, as we encourage supporting local businesses.
Or book your own motel room -note it is a holiday weekend so book ASAP! A block of rooms is held at the Hidden Springs Inn until August 17 at: Hidden Springs Inn, 1 mile from airport. Call 575-533-6146, mention "NMPA Gila Fly-in". Refundable with 48 hr notice.

Another good option is a newer Mountaineer Inn in Reserve (5 miles), Call 575-533-6272. Event ground transport supports it also.

Cancellation Policy: No event registration refunds after 12 Noon September 1, 2026. Exceptions may be considered by NMPA for portion of funds not yet committed by NMPA at time of cancellation.
