Subject: Invitation to Angel Fire Aviation Day – Saturday, June 21
Thank you for considering your support and attendance at this year’s Angel Fire Aviation Day celebration. The Village of Angel Fire Airport (KAXX), nestled high in the Southern Rocky Mountains, proudly holds the distinction of being the fourth highest public-use airport in the United States.
Each year, we honor both local and national aviation heritage with a day full of exciting events—including static aircraft displays, flyovers, and interactive attractions—that inspire our community and celebrate the spirit of aviation. This event supports Angel Fire's National Veterans Wellness and Healing Center reaching out to veterans and first responders suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress.
The week leading up to the event features STEM activities, Civil Air Patrol programs, and both civil and military aviation showcases, all kicking off with a world-class balloon festival and culminating in this grand celebration.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday, June 21. Aircraft arrivals begin at dawn, and gates open to the public from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
We deeply appreciate any support you can offer. In gratitude, the Village of Angel Fire is pleased to provide overnight accommodations for participating pilots and crews on Saturday night. Throughout the day, a refreshment tent will be available, and in the evening, a complimentary dinner will be served by our amazing local restaurants. Fuel allocations are negotiable to help offset participation costs.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We hope to see you in June for a truly memorable Aviation Day!
Warm regards,
