The NMPA Zoomchat is back on the normal schedule, the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

State of New Mexico recently acquired the L-Bar Ranch property (54,000 acres), east of the Mt Taylor Plateau and only 28 miles northwest of Double Eagle Airport.   At the center of this beautiful valley, is the Santa Rosa Peak Airfield, ICAO US-3295.   This video shows a low altitude pass over the runway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3cpgSRwe8U.   The airfield is very well designed, built with good surface drainage and can be easily maintained for backcountry recreational use.  The NMPA is leading the effort to have the airfield transferred to the NM Aviation Division to own and manage though a joint resolution passed in the NM Legislature.
