Magdalena Mayor Richard Rumpf offers shuttle service for pilots between the airport and town to/from the restaurant of your choice (there are several) and other points of interest. Shuttle services may also be arranged for return back to the airport.
Magdalena is an historic ranching and mining town 66 nm south of Albuquerque, 110 nm north of Las Cruces, and 20 nm west of Socorro. The Kelly mine outside of town produced silver and gold, you can take in the Box Car Museum, visit art galleries and rock shops, then fly over the VLA on the way home.
