Another brand new private airstrip has just been registered in the New Mexico backcountry.
It is called Porcupine Ridge and has an ID of NM30. It is listed in AirNav and in the Airfield Guide.
It is private use, so prior permission is required for landing. The contact phone number is listed.
The elevation is around 7500' and the runway is 1900' long, so only experienced pilots with capable airplanes should consider a visit.
Looks like the location of Porcupine Ridge(NM30) is very close to Dreamcatcher(25NM) and Elk Valley(NM31).
These 3 airstrips are within a couple of nautical miles in a line running N-S.
I was told that Dreamcatcher is no longer used, and Elk Valley appears to be ultralight only capable.
Porcupine Ridge is the furthest North at a T-shaped road.
No contact info for permission.  Who do we contact
Contact info for Porcupine Ridge is listed in AirNav and Airfield Guide.
